Celifrut reaches a new destination in Europe

The commitment to creating better commercial opportunities for producers continues to deliver results. Thanks to consistent management and the joint work between fruit suppliers and Celifrut, lemons from our region continue to expand their reach, arriving in Germany for the first time an achievement that confirms Celifrut’s expansion into a new destination in Europe.

One of our goals has been to create better opportunities for producers by facilitating their access to new international markets. As a result of this effort, a negotiation was carried out with a client in Germany. The first export took place on October 23, 2025, with a shipment of nearly 24 tons that arrived on November 11, 2025.

Although this is the first time our lemons have reached Germany, it is not the first time we have entered the European market. The journey began in August 2023, when we made our first export to Spain, reaching clients in Madrid through the port of Algeciras. Subsequently, in June 2024, we resumed this initiative with a shipment whose final destination was Italy, using the port of Rotterdam, one of the largest and most strategic ports on the continent.

Germany: a new step in expansion

This shipment marks a new and important milestone for Celifrut, as Germany becomes the third European country to receive our lemons. The cargo, which entered Europe through the port of Rotterdam, reflects the confidence of international clients in the quality of our fruit and in the logistical capabilities of our producers.

Behind our exports lies a joint effort that brings together the strategic vision of executive teams, commercial and administrative management, operational and logistics coordination, and, of course, the commitment of our producers. Each plays a fundamental role in opening markets, consolidating partnerships, and positioning the quality of Colombian products in international destinations. This process not only drives business growth but also represents a tangible opportunity for local producers, whose work and dedication are recognized under the highest standards of global trade.

Lemons from our region are now reaching homes and markets in Germany. This milestone confirms that the quality, freshness, and flavor of our products can compete in the most demanding international markets. Each shipment strengthens the country’s reputation as an origin of agricultural excellence and opens new opportunities to continue expanding the presence of Colombian lemons throughout Europe.
